About Our Club |
Welcome!!!
You are visiting the homepage of Athens Toastmasters Academy Club. The Club with the most esteemed members from many different backgrounds, Our member's experience is in medicine, engineering, business, Life Coaching, and Art. Our goal is to promote public speaking by helping YOU become a better speaker and leader.
Club Founders/Sponsors
This Club was founded back in 2017. When 20 Toastmasters from several different clubs came together to form an Advanced Toastmasters Club. Our mission was to only have members who completed 10 speech in the Competent Communicator Manual. (CC) The Club was too early for the Toastmasters in Athens. So with the help of the Area and District officers, we rebranded the club name and kept the ethos of what the original founders had in mind of creating a society, institution of distinguished members. Now we are a highly recognized club by Toastmasters International standard. By being a President Distinguish Club after being a week club the year before. Come be apart of Magic.
You could not find a Toastmasters club with more enthusiasm then this one. We were one of the early adopters of online meetings in Greece. We have had guest speakers from the US, Malt, India, Taiwain, Japan, and Poland. |

Everyone in a Toastmasters meeting was once at the level you are now. The environment is friendly and supportive, and the self-paced programme allows you to build confidence with each speaking assignment.
- A typical club has between 20 to 40 members who meet either weekly, biweekly or monthly. A meeting normally lasts around 90- 120 minutes.
- There is no instructor in a Toastmasters meeting. Instead, members evaluate one another’s presentations, pointing out the strengths and suggesting improvements. This feedback process is a key part of the program’s success. Members also give impromptu talks on assigned topics, conduct meetings and develop their leadership skills.
-
We learn through the Toastmasters Pathways learning experience, an exciting, flexible and interactive way to develop your skills and help others in your club develop theirs. Pathways helps you learn communication and leadership skills that you need to succeed. It gives you:
- The opportunity to build up to 300 unique competencies
- 10 specialized learning paths to choose from
- Online content, so that you can learn anytime, anywhere
- Real-world, transferable skills
One thing that you'll love at Toastmasters meetings is the applause. At first you'll be applauded for your effort; later you'll be applauded for your skill.
